Foodora currently operates in Calgary, Edmonton, Montreal, Quebec City, Toronto and Vancouver. Within those cities we have delivery zones that concentrate on densely populated areas. The delivery zone for each city is available here.
You will require the following equipment: - A food delivery bag that fits our size requirements (foodora bags also available for purchase) - An Android or iOS device with approx 1 GB of monthly data - Your chosen mode of transport (bike, car or scooter) We recommend the following equipment: - A wide range of clothing appropriate for the weather in the city you are working (foodora gear may be available based on city) - A battery pack to charge your smartphone while on the job (available for purchase from foodora if you need one)
As a car courier you need to be: - 18yrs of age or older (19yrs of age or older in BC) - Legally eligible to work in Canada - Car insurance - An unrestricted drivers license, Full G (ON), Full Class 5 license (QC), Class 5 GDL license (AB), Class 7 (N) license (BC)
As an independent contractor you are welcome to use a delivery bag branded as you wish. However, we do have basic bag requirements. The bag must: - Have insulating material to help keep the food warm - Be a minimum of 14"x14"x14" (This size is required to be able to deliver pizzas and sushi platters) Unfortunately Uber and Doordash bike courier bags do not meet the minimum size criteria. If your bag meets these requirements then send a picture to your rider manager or bring the bag into your local office to be approved by the rider management team.
